Driving for Work Webinar

RSA HSA Driving for Work Webinar

The Road Safety Authority, Health and Safety Authority and An Garda Síochána today hosted a webinar on driving for work.

Those who drive for work have a higher collision rate than the general driving population, even after their higher mileages are taken into account. The greater the time spent behind the wheel, the greater the exposure to risks associated with driving for work.

The objective of this webinar was to inform and educate employers about how to implement safe driving for work practices. Attendees heard from road safety experts, including Velma Burns and Justin Martin from the RSA, Deirdre Sinnott McFeat and Colleen Butler from HSA and Superintendent Tom Murphy from An Garda Síochána. Wexford Bus and Matthews Coaches also shared their successful stories since introducing a Driving for work policy to their business.

At the end of the webinar, there was a Q&A session so attendees could contribute to the conversation on implementing safe driving practices at work.
